WIND!!

Wow! Was it windy today or what? Just wanted to let everyone see what the wind did to our kids trampoline. Tom and our neighbor went to drag it out of the mud and all that was salvagable was the actual bouncy part(whatever that is called). Most of the poles and the frame were wrapped around a tree. Oh Well! Such is Life! FYI They do have things called trampoline wind stakes...I guess we should have looked for those before today!

Tacky Day

Today was Tacky day at school. Addison and Will had fun getting dressed up in clothes that didn't match. But what is funny is so did I, I wish they could dress like this everyday. No arguing, no yelling, no threatening children if they don't get dressed in the next 30 seconds. It was fun and I thought they actually looked cute. Tom thinks Tacky Day at school is strange because the children have to bring $1 in to be able to wear tacky clothes (PTA fundraiser). He says it is like corporate America, where you have to pay $5 to wear jeans on Friday. HeHe Oh Well! And Wyatt BTW, is not dressed for tacky day he just HAD to be in the picture.

Coupons

My new thing this year is saving money! I found out about this website called "The Grocery Game" (www.thegrocerygame.com) and watched this women go to the store and buy nearly $300 worth of groceries. Then she handed the cashier a stack of coupons and ended up spending like $79. I want that to be me! So on her website you sign up and she sends you a list of all the advertised and unadvertised sales going on at the store of your choice. On the list she tells you the normal price, the sale price, and she also matches it with any coupons she has on her sight and any coupons that might have been in the Sunday paper. I am hooked, and am actually beginning to save money when I shop. It is fun for me to see how much I can save. Just wanted to let everyone know about it because the economy is tough on everyone right now, and any little bit of money I can save is good!

Finally

I finally got my van back yesterday! I missed it so much! It was exactly 1 month and 1 week from the day we had our wreck. It has a few problems already, like a tire sensor light won't go off, but I figured it wouldn't be exactly like it was before. But I tell you what, it's the silly little things that you get used to that you miss the most. Like my sliding doors instead of the normal doors, I don't know how many times in the last month I caught the door from one of the kids swinging it open and almost hitting a car parked next to us! I am extremely grateful for the insurance companies on both sides, and the people that worked so hard to get our van back to us looking good as new!

My New Year's Resolution...

is to give more attention to my blog. That might be one I can actually keep!

Christmas and New Year's was great this year! This was the first year we didn't have to travel to everyone else's houses. I guess because we have this new house everyone wanted to come here. Christmas Eve was with my family, then Christmas morning the kids played with everything Santa brought them. Addison got a cupcake maker and new scriptures, Will and Wyatt both got new bikes, and all 3 of them got a big basketball goal for the driveway.
New Year's Eve we stayed at home like we always do, we aren't much for the nightlife. I had to wake Tom up right before the countdown! New Year's Day my sister and her family came in to do Christmas! We had a very happy holiday season and I hope all of you did as well!
Oh! and by the way, we found out we are having...wait for it....a little GIRL! The whole family is very excited! Girls don't come around very often in this family! for Mom and Michael this will make 20 grandchildren. 15 boys and only 5 girls!

A painful end to Thanksgiving Weekend..

Well, Thanksgiving was great! And then on our way back from having dinner at my Dad's house in Cordova, not 2 minutes from our house, we get hit by a truck full of teenagers. We had the right of way on Rosemark Rd. and they were stopped on Tracy Rd. The driver stopped but only looked to her left we were coming from her right. And she just proceeded to go straight on Tracy Rd. crossing right in front of us. Tom had zero time to react. It hurt pretty bad on impact, but no one was hurt. Tom and I are pretty sore today though. I think I was mostly mad because I haven't even had that van for 6 months. The kids were fine just scared. Being that it is Thanksgiving weekend I am extremely thankful that no one was really hurt, in our car or the other car. Heavenly Father was watching over us. Hope everyone's break was nicer and less eventful than ours.

Finally!

Finally!!! We have moved!! We are officially in our new house as of yesterday. The last couple of weeks have been chaos, but we are very grateful for everyone and all the time that so many spent to help us get into our new home! Tom and I love the Millington Ward, and how eager everyone was to come to the house after a long day of work on Monday, to help us move. We couldn't have done it without ya'll!! AND ALSO A BIG thanks to our parents and family for all there amazing help. Except I seem to get a strange feeling when Michael (my stepdad), got home from work Monday, he seemed just a little to happy to be loading heavy furniture in the freezing cold. You think maybe he wants his house back and a little peace and quiet!? :) And then we had planned a while back that Tom and I were going to go out this Friday night to see Twilight, and I asked Mom where she wanted to watch the kids and her and Michael both said in unison, "Your House!" They are scared to let us in the doors now, scared we won't leave I guess! Thanks Again to everyone for all your help!
