A painful end to Thanksgiving Weekend..

Well, Thanksgiving was great! And then on our way back from having dinner at my Dad's house in Cordova, not 2 minutes from our house, we get hit by a truck full of teenagers. We had the right of way on Rosemark Rd. and they were stopped on Tracy Rd. The driver stopped but only looked to her left we were coming from her right. And she just proceeded to go straight on Tracy Rd. crossing right in front of us. Tom had zero time to react. It hurt pretty bad on impact, but no one was hurt. Tom and I are pretty sore today though. I think I was mostly mad because I haven't even had that van for 6 months. The kids were fine just scared. Being that it is Thanksgiving weekend I am extremely thankful that no one was really hurt, in our car or the other car. Heavenly Father was watching over us. Hope everyone's break was nicer and less eventful than ours.

Finally!

Finally!!! We have moved!! We are officially in our new house as of yesterday. The last couple of weeks have been chaos, but we are very grateful for everyone and all the time that so many spent to help us get into our new home! Tom and I love the Millington Ward, and how eager everyone was to come to the house after a long day of work on Monday, to help us move. We couldn't have done it without ya'll!! AND ALSO A BIG thanks to our parents and family for all there amazing help. Except I seem to get a strange feeling when Michael (my stepdad), got home from work Monday, he seemed just a little to happy to be loading heavy furniture in the freezing cold. You think maybe he wants his house back and a little peace and quiet!? :) And then we had planned a while back that Tom and I were going to go out this Friday night to see Twilight, and I asked Mom where she wanted to watch the kids and her and Michael both said in unison, "Your House!" They are scared to let us in the doors now, scared we won't leave I guess! Thanks Again to everyone for all your help!

We Had a Blast!

Well it's only November 7, I am only a week behind this time! Halloween was so much fun for me this year! On the 24th we went to the Halloween Party at Tom's work, I think Wyatt had the most fun there (but then again he makes his own fun no matter where he is)! Then on the day before Halloween we went to Trunk or Treat in Lakeland Ward. I think I was the most happy there, felt so at home! Still miss all my friends so much. Then for Halloween my brother, Bill and sister-in-law Gretchen hooked up their trailer to the back of their Jeep and we filled it with hay. Then went around the neighborhood like that! Tom's Aunt Joanie and her boys, Daniel and Chris came too! I will tell anybody, that is the way to Trick or Treat! Oh, by the way the kids were all characters from Star Wars, Wyatt=Yoda, Will=Jedi Master, Addison=Padme. And I am also including a picture of my Aunt Sandy and her son (my cousin) John and their costumes, I thought they were great!

I am such a slacker!

Sorry...it has been a while since I posted and I have alot of catching up to do! But I do have an excuse (even if I am whining a little bit), I am 11 weeks pregnant and can't stop puking! It will end soon, I hope.
Well, here are pictures from Addison's Baptism, finally. She was baptised on October 17, by her Daddy. We had a lot of family and good friends that came to support Addi. It was a very special day! It was so wonderful seeing her sitting there listening to the talks and smiling! I kept telling her before it started that everything was going to be fine, and that she shouldn't be nervous, and she just looked at me and said, " Mom, I'm not nervous, I'm excited!" I didn't tell her that I was nervous!

Addison Turned 8!!!

Addison turned 8 on Saturday! I still can't believe it! We took Addison and her friend, Lindsey, from church, to Sweet and Sassy, on Friday night. They got pampered and got their hair done, they looked just like princesses! And then on Saturday we had a big birthday lunch with all the family at Macaroni Grill! It was a good day!

The whole Millington Ward group (with the grateful homeowner in the front).

Louisiana Here We Come

Tom went down to Houma,Louisiana this weekend, to help out with Hurricane clean-up. He took 4 of the young men with him. But we had quite a few people from our ward go this weekend also!

Tom, Hunter, Riley, James, and Michael before the trip...they didn't look that good when they got home!

This was there "crazy" shot...Nice Tom!

The boys on the way...doesn't Michael look thrilled?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s son is speaking to all the LDS who came to help. Look at all those Mormon Helping Hands!

This is Paul, Bishop Hyde and Sister Hyde and some more of our group walking behind them.

The New Combs Family Blog

Tom didn't want me to start a new blog on my own (he has no faith in me). But he is out of town down south with the stake to help with hurricane relief efforts so he has no say! Won't he be surprised!
As most of you probably know by now, we are expecting our 4th child sometime next spring, not for sure about the date yet, but I will keep you posted.
We are also building a house, which is nearing completion, in Atoka, TN. Hopefully we will be in no later than the fist part of November. That will make it 11 months we have lived with my parents, plenty long enough!
